“Education is not merely the transfer of knowledge. It is the cultivation of character, the discipline of thought, and the pursuit of wisdom.”
For me, education has always been more than a profession. It is a lifelong responsibility.
My academic journey has taken me through engineering, management, organizational leadership, research, industry, entrepreneurship, and education. Each experience has reinforced a simple belief that meaningful learning transforms not only careers but also individuals, institutions, and society.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration, and a Doctorate in Management with a research focus on leadership. My doctoral work explored leadership styles within medium scale enterprises, examining how organizational effectiveness is shaped through people, culture, and adaptive management practices. This research strengthened my conviction that successful institutions are built upon integrity, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Alongside my academic pursuits, I have had the privilege of working across diverse professional environments. My career has included responsibilities in organizational development, manufacturing systems, operational excellence, quality management, business strategy, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Over the years, I have worked with organizations ranging from manufacturing enterprises and information technology firms to educational institutions, healthcare organizations, financial services, non-governmental organizations, and personal brands.
These experiences provided opportunities to develop organizational systems, standard operating procedures, workforce training programmes, process improvement initiatives, quality frameworks, data driven decision making systems, and business development strategies. Principles such as Kaizen, Total Quality Management, Lean thinking, and continuous improvement have significantly influenced the way I approach both organizations and education.
Today, my primary commitment is to education.
As the Co-Founder and Academic Director of Bihani Classes, I work towards creating an environment where students develop conceptual clarity, disciplined study habits, intellectual curiosity, and confidence grounded in understanding. Our work focuses on students from ICSE and CBSE curricula while continually evolving towards broader academic and research-oriented initiatives.
Education, in my view, should never be reduced to examination performance alone. Strong academic foundations are important, but equally important are integrity, humility, critical thinking, empathy, and the ability to continue learning throughout life.
Beyond classroom teaching, I remain actively involved in curriculum development, academic planning, assessment design, educational strategy, and institutional growth. I also contribute to scholarly activities through academic peer review, believing that research serves an essential role in advancing knowledge and improving educational practice.
Knowledge, however, should not remain confined within institutions.
This belief inspired the creation of ShikshaMarg108, an educational initiative dedicated to making quality learning accessible through structured academic content and meaningful public engagement. Through the platform, I present lessons across Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, Social Sciences, and related disciplines, while also exploring themes of ethics, Indian knowledge traditions, and personal development.
I have always believed that education and values should complement one another rather than exist independently.
The philosophical traditions of Sanatana Dharma have profoundly influenced my understanding of leadership, learning, and human development. The teachings found within the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads continue to offer timeless insights into responsibility, humility, perseverance, and service. My interest in spirituality is therefore not separate from education. Rather, it informs my conviction that intellectual excellence and moral character must develop together.
As Swami Vivekananda observed,
“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.”
That ideal continues to guide my work.
My academic interests include educational leadership, organizational development, leadership studies, student psychology, curriculum design, institutional governance, quality management, pedagogy, learning sciences, public education, and the application of evidence-based practices within teaching and organizational systems.
I also maintain a keen interest in interdisciplinary learning, particularly where management, psychology, education, technology, and Indian knowledge systems intersect.
Outside my professional work, I enjoy reading, research, wood and metal working, gardening, and exploring practical engineering and design projects. These pursuits remind me that craftsmanship, whether in education or in life, is achieved through patience, discipline, and continuous refinement.
I believe that every institution has a responsibility beyond its immediate stakeholders. Education should contribute to thoughtful citizens, ethical leadership, and a society founded upon dignity, compassion, and mutual respect.
“Vidyā Dadāti Vinayam.”
“Knowledge gives humility. Humility gives worthiness. Worthiness brings prosperity, and prosperity enables one to contribute meaningfully to society.”
This principle continues to shape both my personal philosophy and the work we strive to accomplish every day.
